We had been using the Natural Calm brand of magnesium powder (the unflavored version) but since I buy most of my other supplements from OurKids, I thought I would try the Kirkman brand available from them. I’m glad that I did. I really like the subtle citrus flavor the Kirkman’s has. I wasn’t unhappy with the Natural Calm, but I definitely prefer the Kirkman version. The dosing sizes on the Kirkman’s also last longer, which is another bonus. I takes 2 teaspoons of Natural Calm for 400 mg of magnesium, but with the Kirkman you only need 1/2 teaspoon for 400 mg.

I should add, the dosage amounts for the Kirkman mag powder have changed from what is shown on the OurKids site. 1/4 teaspoon is now 200 mg; 1/2 teaspoon is 400 mg.
