Proflora® provides the supernatent or medium which beneficial flora depend upon to thrive, along with synergistic nutritional and botanical support to optimize the growth of beneficial flora, inhibit unbalanced flora and soothe the intestinal mucosa.* For a sore throat, intestinal upset, skin rash or earache, chances are the prescribed treatment will all be the same - antibiotics. Unfortunately, this shotgun approach to treatment may contribute to a host of health problems. Not only has it become more likely that an infection will not respond to the prescribed antibiotics due to increased resistance, but many pharmaceuticals actually eliminate the beneficial intestinal bacteria essential for proper assimilation of nutrients, thus affecting the overall health of the entire body.
