Kirkman^® Inositol is offered in a pure, soluble hypoallergenic powder. Once thought to be a vitamin, inositol is now understood to be involved in certain chemical signaling processes that serve to transmit messages inside cells. It is also considered to be a lipotropic agent that interacts with the metabolism of fats and helps guard against inappropriate deposition of fat in organs such as the liver.
