Zinc Carnosine by Seeking Health provides 16 mg of zinc (from zinc L-carnosine) per vegetarian capsule. Zinc Carnosine is designed for those desiring a natural approach to supporting the gastrointestinal lining. This product may be combined with high-quality probiotic formulations for a more comprehensive approach to gastrointestinal health.

The mucosal lining of the gastrointestinal tract provides protection against invasive microbes‚ environmental toxins and allergens‚ and the erosive effects of bile and stomach acid. The combination of zinc and L-carnosine may be uniquely beneficial for healthy cells in the mucosal lining‚ and these nutrients may work together to support the body’s natural protective and repair mechanisms in the gastrointestinal tract.

Zinc is an important mineral that may help support many enzymatic and structural functions in the human body. It is also important for healthy cellular metabolism‚ immune health‚ and healthy cell membranes‚ including cells in the intestinal tract. Carnosine is an amino acid‚ primarily obtained from meat and animal sources in the diet. Individuals adhering to a vegetarian or vegan diet may have lower carnosine levels than their meat-consuming counterparts. Carnosine is a naturally occurring component of muscle and brain tissues. The combination of these nutrients as zinc L-carnosine provides unique support for the stomach and intestinal lining‚ and general digestive health.
